    The holidays are upon us — how have you prepared to celebrate?  

    It’s that time of year and we want to know what you’re doing (or what you’ve done in the past) to get your house in the holiday spirit. Do you decorate? Do you host an annual holiday get together or party?  Are you putting the finishing touches on a major home improvement project?  We want to know, so show us what you’ve got.

    This month we’ve teamed up with the folks from SC Johnson to promote Right@Home, its recently redesigned home care Web site. To participate, you’ll simply need to show and tell us how you’re preparing your home for the holidays and link back to www.rightathome.com.  


    What can you win?


    We’ve got a $250 gift card for the lucky grand prize winner. Other participants will be eligible for prize packages of SC Johnson items, too.

    Click on the yellow box at the bottom of this entry to read all the blog submissions from our members.

    Here’s how to participate:

    1.    If you haven’t already, register your houseblog with our site.  You can add your blog by creating an account and going to your profile page via the Account Options link.

    2.    Write a post about how you’ve prepared your home for the holidays (this year or in years past).  Post anytime over the next eight days - Tuesday, November 11 through Wednesday, November 19th.

    3.    Make sure to link to this feature story page and www.rightathome.com somewhere in your post.  Also, please include the following blurb:  “This post was written for Houseblogs.net as part of a sweepstakes sponsored by SC Johnson’s Right@Home.”

    4.    Log in to your account on Houseblogs.net and tag your entry ‘rightathome08’.

    Ok, I feel like a dummy but I can't find where to tag my blog entry "rightathome08"  can anyone point my in the right direction on the account settings page?

    Well I added the links to my post, but I'm not sure where to add the tags on your site? I've signed in but don't see a place to tag my blog post here...i added the tag to my actual post however.

    bicyclemonkey and Home Again - I went ahead and tagged your posts for you here on Houseblogs.net.

    In the future, you can tag any of your posts like this:

    1. Write your post on your blog.
    2. Wait for it to appear on Houseblogs.net (about 15 minutes, normally).
    3. Log in to Houseblogs.net.
    4. Go to the Blogs tab.
    5. Click on the link 'Your Entries.'
    6. Under the title of each entry, you'll see 'Tags: No tags found (add some)'.  Click on that.

    Then you'll be able to add the 'rightathome08' tag to enter in the contest.

    Again, I've already done this for both of you so you're all set!
