    Featured Story
Houseblog El Paso Foursquare is restoring their wood windows.
Thinking of restoring your wood windows?  The follks over at El Paso Foursquare are doing a nice job outlining their project step by step.

Omar says in the first entry that the emphasis of his focus is more on the steps and timeline for their project, given that others have written up the really detailed how-to aspects of window restoration.  I can appreciate this, since a major part of any project is the time and timeline involved.  Having gone through this on our own bungalow in Chicago, it's important not to underestimate the time required for each step.  In our case, we didn't quite expect to have the windows removed for so long (including over the span of a planned vacation!).

In Omar's case it's been about ten weeks so far.  They're in the home stretch now with the windows having been reglazed and the priming now finished.  The series--now on part seven--should be wrapping up shortly.

We love it when housebloggers write up their projects.  It's a wonderful part of the houseblogging community--people sharing their experiences and knowledge for others to learn from.

Funny concidence--I just saw that houseblog Shane and Casey just posted their story on window restoration too.  Looks like it's the hot project for housebloggers right now.
