Some people are trading in high mortgages for new communities or longer commutes. According to this story in the New York Times some people are moving away from their homes in California to the Midwest. All so that they can balance home ownership, affordability and lifestyle. People are also moving away from Boston, New York and Washington, D.C. to locales with lower home prices. Some are changing employers as part of the choice, while others are simply driving back to urban locations to stick with a particular employer or career. How far away would you move to be able to afford the home and lifestyle that you are looking for? |
