houseblogs.net STATS!

Today, I finished something that I had become obsessed with (when am I NOT obsessed about something?) I entered profile tags for every houseblogger profile in the houseblogs.net registry. I work in Knowledge Management so I get a little energized (ahem) about organizing data. When I was finished, what did I find? Lots of interesting stuff. -There are housebloggers in the directory from 4 out of 7 continents...North America, Europe, Africa and Australia. (There are some who aren't represented by a continent proper, like our houseblogger in New Zealand.) -There are 19 housebloggers in Canada, representing 7 provinces -There are a whole lot of housebloggers in the United States (I couldn't count them all), representing 41 out of 50 states. (You'll have to look them up by state.) -Housebloggers in Europe represent 4 countries. -Housebloggers in Australia represent 3 states. -Morocco is currently our sole rep from North Africa. -I couldn't locate at LEAST 14 housebloggers, probably more. Most popular North American locations according to tags? -California You'll have to double check my work. I had a few hundred houseblogs to comb through and not a lot of time to do this so I'm sure that there are mistakes. If there is a mistake for your own profile, go ahead and edit your profile tags. If it is a mistake in the profile of another houseblogger? Drop me a line at jm (at) houseblogs (dot) net. (more fun stats tomorrow...) |

Thanks heaps for being so "energized" about data. If I had known about such tags, I would have done my own. I can't imagine doing several hundred like you! Thanks!
